Your membership participation will confirm the love of these Locomotives and demonstrate the potential for increased enhancement of these iconic engines. Conservators will become aware that the public traffic just stopping by a display is minimal, and the greater support is nationwide. Your membership will help build the confidence to propel these three locomotives to a long future as museum quality artifacts. For more see the “Vision” section on this website.

Membership is $40.00 per year starting January 1, 2024. No dues will be collected at this time.

The Society will be participating in rebuild and maintenance projects on each of the locomotives. Currently, we are formulating the level of participation with the conservators of the three locomotives. Projects will be reviewed by the Board and posted to the Website for future donations.

What about our name: We are a nonprofit corporation that was incorporated in Colorado and registered with the IRS as the “C16 Society”. Realizing that in website searching more people might use “locomotive” in their search, we then captured 4 web domain names, C16locomotivesociety.com, C16locomotivesociety.org, C16locomotive.com, and C16locomotive.org.
